Back in February there was a Facebook activity where fake album covers were created using a combination of Wikipedia and Flickr. I was inspired by the cover I created to come up with a mix that I felt corresponded with the cover image. This is the result of that inspiration.

Mix Madness!

The first 3 days of May have been set aside for a mix-a-thon on the ZeRO site, so I whipped up this confection for the occasion. It's mostly composed of the kinds of things that have been tempting my ears lately, and I'm pretty happy with the way the whole thing came together. I'm glad that Sammy suggested the mix-a-thon, it's got my creative juices flowing again, as it has for many other mixers on the site. I've already started two others, and have ideas for more brewing. Hush-A-Bye

I've been promising to make a mix of lullabies for a loooooooong time, and have finally gotten around to it. This mix was designed especially for little ones, but it should be the kind of aural sleeping pill that will get most of us snoozing in no time. The songs from I Go To Sleep till the end are all very quiet, hushed songs, so there is little danger of becoming jarred awake by a sudden loud song. Hope it works!

Songs for Two-Year-Olds and Up!

My niece Sophia has been getting really into music lately. Yes, she worships the Wiggles, but she's also into Baa Baa Black Sheep, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Old McDonald Had a Farm, and Humpty Dumpty. I thought it was time to start introducing her to some new tunes, so I made her a mix. She's really into spiders, bugs and animals of all kinds, so I loaded it up with songs of that nature, tucking in little surprises here and there. We played this in the car the other day, and we were all singing along to it in traffic, having a grand old time. This mix will probably appeal to kids of various ages, and some adults too (if you're like me!).
