Smell The Magic!

This is a little theme mix I put together about a neurological condition called Synesthesia. People with Synesthesia intermix nervous impulses so that they can see sounds, smell images, and some even perceive numbers and letters as colors. My tribute to Synesthesia intermixes numbers and colors. I purposely chose only songs that emphasized the number or color, not just those that mentioned it in their title. It's a quirky mix, but I love the way it sounds.

The May Mixathon really got me thinking about mixes again, and this is another one that resulted from that burst of creative inspiration. This is more of a mixed genre effort, with a few tracks that had been deleted from previous mix efforts and which have now found a home together. The last track added was the one from The Bird and the Bee, and it made the whole thing finally feel whole. Thanks to Barry for turning me on to Jordon O'Jordon, who sings lead on Little Finger.

Mix Madness!

The first 3 days of May have been set aside for a mix-a-thon on the ZeRO site, so I whipped up this confection for the occasion. It's mostly composed of the kinds of things that have been tempting my ears lately, and I'm pretty happy with the way the whole thing came together. I'm glad that Sammy suggested the mix-a-thon, it's got my creative juices flowing again, as it has for many other mixers on the site. I've already started two others, and have ideas for more brewing.
